Accuracy depends on audio quality. With background noise or unclear speech the text may need corrections, which you can make in any text editor.
How to convert MP3 to text
Create an account and add your file
Sign up with your email address, choose “Upload a file” and pick the MP3 from your device. Setting the number of speakers is optional.
Wait for the transcript
How long it takes depends on the length of the recording. You don’t have to keep the page open: the result appears under “My recordings”.
Download the TXT file
Open the finished transcript, rename the speakers if you like, and click “Download TXT”.

- 99 languages, including English. You don’t need to select one: SpeakTide detects the language automatically, even when it changes during the recording.
- What we don’t accept
- Video files such as MP4. A file in an unsupported format or larger than 1 GB is rejected before it is uploaded.

The free minutes are a one-time bonus once you confirm your email address. Longer recordings are paid: you pay for the length of the audio, to the second.
You buy minutes as a top-up with no subscription, and they never expire. Your file has to fit within the minutes available in your account.
Common questions
Can I convert MP3 to text without an account?
No. You need an account because transcription takes a little while and the finished transcript is saved to your recording history. Signing up takes an email address and a password.
Can I get the transcript as DOCX, PDF or SRT subtitles?
No. The transcript downloads as a TXT file, which you can open and save in any text editor.
What happens to my uploaded MP3?
The file is stored on servers in the European Union and deleted automatically after 30 days; you can delete it sooner. The transcript stays in your account until you delete it. We never use recordings to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy (in Polish) for details.
